What is SimplexHub?

SimplexHub is the self-service level of our compliance programs for trucking companies. You and your drivers get portal access, and your office acts on the alerts and keeps the files current. It includes:

  • Dashboard: your ISS and BASIC scores, plus the last 24 months of inspections, violations, and accidents, each linked to the driver and the equipment involved.
  • CSA monitoring: CSA reports, score forecasts and projections, and alerts for new inspections and violations.
  • Trends: the top 10 drivers and pieces of equipment that are driving your results.
  • Driver and vehicle files: monitoring and reports on driver qualification files and vehicle files, plus do-it-yourself driver onboarding.
  • Accident registry and annual inspection tracking: the accident register carriers must keep for 3 years after each accident (49 CFR 390.15), and the date each vehicle’s periodic inspection is due, which must be passed at least once every 12 months (49 CFR 396.17).
  • Training: training recommended after a violation or accident, drawn from our own videos and documents, with assigned trainings, reminders, and digital certifications.
  • Documents and reports: a central place to upload, view, and download company, driver, and fleet documents, and reports you can pull at any hour.
  • Service requests: recurring requests, such as adding a driver or a truck, submitted any time from the portal or the app.

What is the Simplex2Go app?

Simplex2Go puts SimplexHub on your phone, so owners and drivers can clear pending items from the road. It is published by The Simplex Group Inc (about Simplex Group) on the App Store and Google Play, and data entered in the app or the portal syncs to both.

  • Push notifications before permits and documents expire, before tax filings are due, and when a driver has a to-do or a recommended training.
  • To-dos that track deadlines and let you ask a driver directly for an updated driver qualification file document.
  • Document uploads from the phone into your company, driver, and fleet records.
  • Service requests for routine changes, such as adding drivers or equipment, in a few taps.

If you searched for “Simplex Go” or “SimplexGo”, this is the app. Look for Simplex2Go by The Simplex Group Inc in your phone’s app store.

Is Simplex ELD 2GO the same as Simplex2Go?

No. Simplex ELD 2GO is the driver app for the Simplex ELD: it connects to the truck’s engine through the ELD hardware and records driving time, engine data, miles, and location for hours-of-service logs. Simplex2Go is the compliance app for SimplexHub, not an ELD app.

Fleet managers review ELD logs in the Simplex ELD portal, not in SimplexHub. Our guide to electronic logging devices covers what the ELD rule requires.

Where do the ISS and BASIC scores come from?

Both come from FMCSA, and SimplexHub shows them next to the drivers and trucks behind them. FMCSA’s Safety Measurement System (SMS) uses roadside inspection and crash data from the last two years, updates once a month, and sorts it into seven BASICs, such as Unsafe Driving, Hours-of-Service Compliance, and Vehicle Maintenance.

In each BASIC, the SMS ranks you against carriers with a similar number of inspections or crashes and gives you a percentile from 0 to 100. A higher percentile means worse safety performance.

The Inspection Selection System (ISS) uses your BASIC results to recommend whether roadside inspectors should Inspect your truck, treat it as Optional, or Pass it. Carriers with little or no safety data are also recommended for inspection. You can see your own ISS score in the Company Information section of FMCSA’s portal.

SimplexHub shows FMCSA’s data, so a violation counts until FMCSA’s record changes. If an inspection report is wrong, the fix is a Request for Data Review in FMCSA’s DataQs system. Our Essentials and Managed programs file DataQs requests for you, and our CSA program page explains how we help bring scores down.

How do I get SimplexHub?

SimplexHub comes with our compliance programs. Choose SimplexHub on its own if someone in your office will act on the alerts. Every Essentials and Managed Program customer also gets everything in SimplexHub, plus a support team that manages files, verifications, and DataQs, or a dedicated account manager.

Already a customer and can’t sign in? Reset your password from the sign-in screen, or reach our team through the contact page. New to Simplex? Request a free consultation below with your USDOT number and fleet size, and we will show you SimplexHub and which program fits your operation.
